I am planning to put a row of "shallow" building fronts on the back of my city, using a number of modified Ameritown fronts among other structures. For those of you who have done this already, what is the minimum depth that is needed to add interior lights to these buildings (I was thinking 1 inch depth)? From who have you purchased exterior building details, e.g windown cornises? Lastly, while I am planning on using LED lights, what wattage is appropriate for this purpose?

thanks, Paul

One inch depth, maybe 3/4 to 5/8 inch even.  I've done the lighting with a small 3-LED strip mounted at floor level on the bottom story, pointing up, and tin foil (reflective mirror, taped to the wall behind the building and glue to the interior wall of the building (and then cut out where there are windows, and finally, frosted or curtained windows, etc. .  It works well.  I recently posted something like that on the scenery and structures forum in how I lit my boatyard (modified Menards Moe's garage).
