No one was hurt! This is like an old comedy film. Long car hangs up on tracks as train is coming. Azgary

Looks like a photoshop product. There's no road crossing the track.

Click on the link to the video.
I can't believe that driver thought that strech would make it over the humped up crossing.
OK, the video explains why there was no grade crossing there. As for the driver's thoughts:Fortunately for horses, there are more horses' a---- than there are horses.
I'm surprised the old "waving the red handkerchief" trick didn't stop the train in time!!
Bryan, now that's funny. Don
Only thing better would be if he was standing behind the limo and waving the red handkerchief.
Gary,
I like the way the fool asks the Train Engineer if he saw his car, and the Engineer tells him how much the train weighs. I do not believe the guy understood the engineers meaning, some of these guys are just plain stupid. No way on earth that big NS Double header could have ever gotten stopped in time to not hit his car. They needed to pull or push that car off the tracks, long before the train got their. Some people are just as smart as box of rocks.

Gary,
I believe the box of rocks would take offense to that comparison!
These licensed Chauffeurs should have additional training in how to SAFETLY cross grade crossings and what to look out for.
Expecting that limo not to get hung up on that humped grade only underscores the lack of training he had.
Thankfully no one was hurt other than his pride when he had to explain to the owner why is limo is a bit hung up!
All I can says is, "wow!"
It always amazes me how many people don't know how hard it is to stop something that heavy, let alone a semi-truck, in their opinion you should stop like a car.
I'm amazed about how well the limo held up to being hit like that. I figured it would have been completely wrapped around the front of the locomotive.

Saw the hit on the news yesterday. Normally, I'm pretty critical of someone getting a car hit by a train. In this case I'm going to give them a pass as it's not always clear how high a crossing may be relative to the "base" height of the road (and I didn't see a warning sign about that in the video). The car got "high-centered" and stuck. The driver got everyone out and tried to flag down the train. If there was a warning sign about the height of the crossing and the driver ignored it, then the driver loses the pass and gains the rank of idiot.

Stretch limo's have stouter construction than mere mortal cars.

Stopping distances for large, heavy objects like a train is basic physics, which should have been covered in public school science class. Maybe drivers license testing across the country should cover it too.
It's not just trains. There are also plenty of people with no respect for large vehicles like tractor trailers, or large dump trucks.
Are people getting dumber, or are we just hearing about these incidents more often due to better communications? (I think its a bit of both)
OMG.......Just glad no one got hurt!

Were I work I have to cross train track. Its one of those crossing that has warning signs for trucks. Not to cross at that crossing.Because they will bottom out.I can not tell you how many times I has saw a truck stuck on that crossing.Once saw a truck that its footing was inbeded in the road.I saw the police and a wrecker and the driver was talking to the police.BTW there was a truck from ns.Limo makes me think of the old keystone cops movie.Whats with people now a days?Have they stop reading signs?
