Daylight lineup April 2017

A prominent Standard Gauge collector suggested to me that I should line up some of the Lee Lines SP GS-4's that I'm building from original parts that were sitting for almost 40 years.

Here's the shot - the second and third GS engines not QUITE complete, but needed to ship the first set out. On the back track is an N&W J that I fashioned from the Lee Lines parts - highly modified, and includes a 3D printed nose

Note also the passenger cars, also Lee Lines parts, painted to SP Daylight as were the originals.

How's that for a time warp?

Milwaukee Road 261

I would love to see built a Lee Lines version of a Milwaukee Road S3 like the Milwaukee Road 261 along with a smooth-sided set of Lee Lines passenger cars in a Milwaukee Road tri-color paint scheme.

Bob, A big project to build this engine - although I really like it. Got any friends that are good with 3D printing? Might be a way to make the shell. I used a 3d printer for the nose cone of the J. If I did a unique new engine, it would have a different drive than the Lee Lines as well.

Still working on smooth sided passenger cars, though. Came close to buying a horizontal mill to 'smooth out the extruded sides that I have. Possible future, cause I want some too.
