A good friend, who is also a die-hard fan of my beloved home road, sent me a copy of his train log for the day I was born.  These were the trains he OS'ed at Pasadena, California, on the Second District of the Los Angeles Division, while I was busy being born in Long Beach:

3780 (4-8-4) on first 8
3723 (4-8-2) on second 8
3142 (2-8-2) on extra west, pickup
2924 on No. 1 Scout
163 on No. 21 El Capitan
3768 on first 3 Calif. Ltd. sleepers
3766 on second 3 coaches
3710 on third 3 (mail-2nd 7 consist))
162 on No. 19 Chief
166 on No. 17 Super Chief
3524 (4-6-2) on No. 42 local passenger
3706 on No. 123 El Tovar
3155 extra east, 2nd district east local
3748+3746 on No. 124 El Tovar (3748 through to Azusa)
163 on No. 20 Chief
3748+3749 on extra west, gravel
3156 extra west, 2nd district west local
3139 extra east, pickup
3766 on first 4
3778 on No. 7
3768+3741 on second 4 (3768 through to San Bdno.)
3756 on No. 2 Scout

As you can see, the second district was a really busy piece of railroad in the
summer of 1946. Twenty two trains in a 20-hour period (I had to sleep a little,
between the 3142 west and No. 1.)

What a priceless birthday present!
