Just wanted an opinion on other experiences... One of the forum sponsors has a great deal on a powered LC+ B unit. I have one of the B units already and love running the ABA configuration. Is there any issue with buying another B unit and doing the ABBA loco arrangement? (Other than I may smoke myself out in a few minutes?)

Besides having a lot of pulling power, and like you said lots of smoke, you shouldn't have any problem since they are all assigned to the same LC+ remote.
This is very intriguing, did you ever do this Hokie?
I haven't done this but it should work. One of our club members runs three identical RS3s lashed together with a single controller. These are first generation LC.

I am ashamed to admit I did not. My excuse was the locos would have been 40% the length of the train since my layout is not that huge.
