Now that I have two LC+ locos with Bluetooth, I am reading the instruction manual and trying to understand it.  Using the APP on y iPhone, I can connect with one of the locos.  I'm not sure how to run both, with the iPhone, or if it can be done.  On page 17 of the A5 manual, it states that you should unlink the first loco and scroll to find the second one.  When you unlink the first loco, it will stop, according to the instructions.

Before I do anything, that I may regret, I was hoping someone here had more than one loco with Bluetooth, that may be familiar with the operation.

Dan, You can only operate one (1) locomotive at a time using the Bluetooth App. And yes, switching between locomotives is possible when you scroll through those listed...however only the one chosen is operational. Using the App is nice for setting and fine tuning the whistle, speed control...etc., but for controlling multiple locomotives, the Universal Remote is necessary...at least for now...who knows what the future will bring...?

The app can only control one at a time, but the universal remote can control up to 3.  When you switch between engines on the remote, the engine you switch to can either have its own speed set by turning the dial on the controller, or you can tap the engine number button again and it will instantly match whatever the speed & direction it is currently set to on the remote from the first engine.  Works for stopping too.  If you have 3 engines running and want to stop them all, just turn dial to stop (whichever engine you have as the main one will stop) and then just tap each other engines button twice and they will stop too.  I have a video coming out this weekend on all the tips and tricks of the Universal remote and also how you can control Lion Chief and Legacy engines with it at the same time.

One more question.  Once I adjust the settings on the iPhone, using the APP, will they carry over to the universal remote ?

Well, yes and no.  If you set the sound levels and tones using the app, those settings remained unchanged if you use the remote.  The adjustments made in the "settings" area of the app do not carry over when the remote is used except for the smoke setting.  The momentum and speed limit do not carry over to the remote.  You can run two engines each on a separate iPhone or iPad.  Each engine's settings can be set independently.

My LC+ A+IMG_7047 came with this little ????? packed in the box, next to the eye dropper.  Anyone have a clue as to it's purpose ?

It is for removing the side rods. If you need to change a tire on your steam engine.

Dave

I'll have to look at it more closely.  I didn't see a hex shape on the side rod fastener.  But I thought I saw a hex shape inside the tool end.
