I think the new 0-6-0 steam engines with the large number of wires on the tether is a problem waiting to happen. Probably best to order a spare.
The Lionel website shows no parts listed for my engine (Strasburg version).
Does anyone know the part #?
And is there a repair diagram for the engine and tender?

Lionel typically doesn't get the parts up for new stuff for several years, and maybe more. The only place you're going to find any repair information is from Lionel.

After many years of contemplating. I bought an Atlas 0-6-0. Wasn’t a fan of the double tether. But it is what it is with everything getting power from the tender. Pain to plug and unplug but they stay put and are pretty much out of sight. If I move it off the layout it moves as one. After reading all these posts. It makes me feel a little better on my choice of an 0-6-0.
