Currently Lionels shipping schedule says " May '15". If that doesn't change, you should see the loco by the end of June.  Lionel shipping schedule

My reply yesterday about the Shipping Schedule sounds a bit snippy - not meant that way (don't you just love machinery communication?).

Anyway, these Lionel NYC F-2/F-12 (the real prototype) 4-6-0's are some of the nicest of the modern Lionel steamer offerings. I have a NYC TMCC version. Great model, runs superbly.

My earlier TMCC version doesn't chuff enough; one day I'll address that.

While it is often the big locos that get all the glory, locos this size are often the most satisfying to run. A premium grade loco this size - and there are not a lot - is easy and quick to set up, fits the layout's tight curves well and runs superbly and has cruise - all features I value a lot.  I have the Legacy 0-8-0 and Atlantic, and a Premier 2-8-0 and 4-4-0 that are all great and get a lot of play time.  This ten wheeler is a bit more handsome than they are and for that reason will probably get even more attention.  I can hardly wait for it (but clearly have no choice but too.)
