Hi all, YORK in a few weeks!!! in the meantime does anyone have a #1045 solenoid for the flagman. Can't seem to get it working and now I broke the fine wire coming off the coil. Hopefully I can search for a broken flagman with a good solenoid. Jjust thought thought I would run it by you folks.

Peel the wire off the coil. Scrape the outside and resolder. This assumes it has continuity and is not burned out. To check continuity connect both ends to a meter set on the ohm scale ,it should have some resistance maybe 20 ohms or something. If it does the coil is good. Then check to see if the plunger moves freely. If it does it should work if hooked up correctly. Not sure what the 1045 model is. I worked on a gateman accessory here,it may be of some interest

Thanks for the info. You seem like a very knowledgeable guy.
If I remember right the coil acts like a electric magnate when activated. There is a metal piece in the arm that is drawn to the magnate to move the arm...

That seems to be right. Can't get it to activate the arm though. Thanks for the info.
