I am in the process of hooking up my PW semaphore to the lionel 153IR controller to my new layout.
My accessory bus is currently 16 gauge wire around the board and have routinely used 18 gauge to hook them up.
In reading the the instructions that come with the controller, it states not to hook it up with wire LARGER than 24 gauge. Is this a typo?? I was planning on using my standard 18 gauge wire to hook everything up. Can I use 18 gauge with the controller or do I need 24 ?
Since I am such a klutz, how do you insert the wires in the controller? On the back where the wire goes, there is a clip on top to open up the post where the wire goes in. I can't figure whether you push the orange clip in or pull it up. I didn't want to play with it since I most likely would break it and watch $45 fly out the window
