Recently, I pulled out some trains from several deceased family members that have been stored in our garage attic for a number of years. Among them was this 1666e with this 1689t tender. I was doing some research but couldn't figure out if this tender went with this engine. Can someone shed some light about if this is the right tender or not?

In addition, I thought tenders designated with a "T" after the number meant a non-whistling tender. This one has a whistle. Is this true? And someone before me placed a backup light on the rear. I assume this was not a factory thing?

Thank you in advance, Nathan.
