I have bought new Lionel 180 watt brinks, six to be exact, and when I plug them into the wall outlet, the breaker in the Lionel brick instantly clicks.  Zero voltage out. There is nothing connected at all to the brick.  My older 180w bricks work fine.  Is there something I don't know about these bricks?  I have absolutely no issues with anything else in my house or my layout.  Thoughts appreciated.

Lionel 6-85226 PH180 180W Powerhouse Transformer (10amp)
Notice of operation in regards to UL Requirements

UL requirements for AC transformers were changed in 2017. The new requirements meant that any AC transformer imported into the USA needed to cut power when an active draw on the transformer is not detected. To accommodate this, the third pin in the 3-wire harness (runs from PH180 to accessory/track), which was originally unused, was turned into a switch. When that switch is activated, the PH180’s power would be activated. If the switch is not activated, the PH180’s circuit breaker would trip.
Most items that the PH180 connector plug in to have the third pin built-in to their connector. This includes the following items:
•Lionel PowerMasters
•Lionel Powerhouse or TMCC Direct Lockon
•Lionel ZW-C Transformer
There are also instances where an item can be plugged into the PH180’s connector that DO NOThave the third pin preinstalled. These include:
Lionel TPC300 or TPC400: These are connected to the PH180 using 6-14194 TMCC TPC Cable Set, which does not include the extra pin.
MTH TIU which also uses 6-14194
Lastly, if the unit is plugged into a wall outlet and the 3-pin cable is NOT connected to anything, the power will be cutoff (I.E. the circuit breaker will trip).
The above is explained in the manual (click here for manual) for the new version of the PH180. See pages 4 and 5 in manual.
The issue: The extra pin was to be included with each PH180. It was discovered that the pin was left out for the first production run.
The solution: Lionel Customer Service stocks this pin and will send it to any customer/dealer that needs it free of charge.
