I have the PRR version of the Y3 and it handles a half circle O63 curve on my layout just fine. I don't have any O60 curves.
You owe her big on Mother's Day!
Tell your wonderful wife that this loco can't run on your track and you have to sell it to me for real cheap and then you will buy TWO 0-6-0 switchers
Really though, you can't even think about a return, that will upset her too much. Modify your layout somehow, your wife will know you appreciated her gift then!!!
Hi I have the PRR Y-3 and it goes throught 054 with out problems.
on top of that the engine pulls like a beast.
All I can say is you should not be disappointed at all with this engin.
How many cars was that pulling? Impressive!
Thanks all for the input, That answer's that!!
On a related note concerning the Lionel Allegheny (28028) which was advertized
as operating on an 0-54 diameter curve: Any of you have this situation, as I don't have room for 0-72 curves and I'd like to run one of these beasts.
Hoppy
Hey Ik this is a bit off-topic but
can you run the Lionel C&O Allegheny 1601 from 1999 on 0-48 FasTrack Curves?
Im saying this because it's minimum curve was for tubular track.
Congrats !!! I have the same engine and WOW!!!! I see others confirm ok down to 063 I run mine on 072 and larger.
enjoy!!!
