"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Just wondering how many forum members own one or more of these fun sets besides me and Steve Eastman. Steve and a few others have famously adjusted the wheel gauge of these sets to run on 2 1/8" standard gauge track. I run my two sets on the supplied 2" gauge black molded plastic track. I own the NYC freight set and the yellow Lionel Construction Railroad set. The latter has a lot of play value with its crane car, cable reel car and three container gondola. The crane car boom can be adjusted and there is an operating red caution light with an on/off switch. The locos in both sets have diesel revving sounds plus bell, horn and crew talk sounds. The sounds are well done, and the battery powered can motors in both sets provide smooth running and excellent battery longevity. These sets have a dedicated radio control remote which requires three AAA cells. The engines require six C cells. These sets sre a hoot to run for both adults and young folks and at $100 full retail are a bargain! They can often be found at a discount price online.
