Has there been any update to the release date of the Lionel catalog? The last I heard was February 1. Thanks!

In the past 2 years the volume 1 catalogs came out in late March so don't hold your breath too long.
The catalogs from what Mike Reagan reported are done. They will release 2/1/15 as of the Podcast. That is the last I have heard.
Well if they said Feb 1, why not wait till then and see?
From previous reports on the Forum, they went to press before Christmas. I would expect that February 1st is realistic.
Should be fun to see what is ahead. Last year was a blockbuster.
Lionel's manufacturers just dumped nearly a year's worth of product into the last 6 weeks of 2014... So I guess it's only natural that folks would be curious to see how early a new 2015 catalog gets published -- most of whose contents probably won't be delivered well into 2016 at the earliest, and some goodies may not see the light of day until 2018. 
It's never too early to plan a wish-list though.

David maybe, just maybe the posters question was limited to the C1 catalog release date.

Many of us are still recovering from a wild December -- not just from Lionel but from MTH and GGD too. So we gotta love the irony of Lionel releasing a new catalog earlier than usual this year... regardless of whenever the actual products arrive.

I got it David. I don't think you did though.
Traditionally, although that has varied recently Lionel has released C1 in conjunction with Toy Fair. So I think your comment about an unusually early release is a bit of a mis-characterization.
