Lionel 2024 GG1 Custom Run

Would honestly prefer another run of 4800 in 5-stripe. They did it before, as well, but very rare.

If they were going to offer the old rivets shell, wonder why they didn't include the bicentennial scheme.

A single stripe #4903 would get my money in an instant.

I’d like a gg1 in pilot scheme. Maybe some glow in the dark accents wherever plastic is.

They did it on the first run in 2015.

Yes, and those rarely come up on secondary market, and if they do, command very inflated prices.

For the remaining GG1's I'm looking to add to my collection, don't necessarily need top end bells and whistles from the Legacy or Vision lines.  Case in point I have a few Williams scale GG1's that I'll try the Blunami system on, or perhaps PS 3.0 upgrade.

That said, the true Old Rivets carbody I guess is destined to only be available at the premium price.  I couldn't swing it in 2015, but can now, and prefer that unique (some say gaudy) bicentennial scheme.

I proposed a custom run of #4935 in Gloss Black and five stripes, with the sealed twin beam headlights,  to represent it durings its 1977-1980 career with Amtrak.  
While the prototype was restored by Amtrak as DGLE I believe, it looked more gloss black than anything.

perhaps trainworld or Nicolas Smith or Brady’s would consider a run of engines like this?
