HELP AGAIN..............Purchased my Lionel 2037, weeks ago, what was I thinking,  powerful engine, started sounding like a broken washing machine a few days ago, bucking with starts & stops around my track.

Even off the track, the drive wheels squeak & rattle  when rotating by hand.

Do I need WD40, or Hand Grenade.

Thanks for any  help you can supply before I have to refill my blood pressure  medicine.

Ok WD 40 is fine if you spray in a container and just touch it on. The process we use in clock repair with clock approved oil is with a needle or tooth pick. Just a dab. Check the brushes and commutator for wear.
