Showing pics from conversion of damaged #262 to DC motor

Brief  modifications description:

- original AC (damaged) motor removed from the frame and replaced by DC motor
- copper elements polished and lacquer coated.
- new cow catcher
- engine shell and frame repainted... ( I know, still learning how to paint...)
- new wheels

Please find atatched video with #262 DC converted on the track. I think it's running way smoother that orginal AC motor (
definetelly less clunky noise). I'm sorry for the quality on the video but my son is now crazy about this engine and I can't get much accesss to it, I did what I can for now to get recoreded just few moments with engine in motion.

BTW

My DC converted Lionel 2036 is runnig very well, so many years and no problem with it at all.
