I like it. It's my first old timey steamer and I want to add rolling stock made of wood. Mine did not have the chains for the snowplow even tho it was NIB so check yours out if you buy.
I have the older Great Western "Lincoln Logs" set, as well as the recent Coca Cola set, and the W&ARR Green/black with associated cars. THey've all been good runners, no problems with any of them. Pretty good sound for an entry level price. I like the "Generals" in general.
I have the Rio Grande General set and I think it is a terrific bang for the buck. The engine has sound, smoke and lighting and comes with 4 cars , a loop of fast track and a 40 watt transformer. I think you can pick this set up for less than $225. I also was able to pick up an additional passenger car on the auction sight for less than $40.
