On one set I got, they were converted already using the older Weaver metal trucks with home made bolsters.

On the Lionel Vision Tankers, I ordered the NWSL axles for Lionel trucks w/ spinners.

I did order before there were multiple tread sizes available. I believe I got the smaller flanges. I would suggest getting the larger ones if your track or benchwork isn't the best.

I forget which is the smaller flanged and which size wheels of the four choices? I'll have to go look at my part bin to see.

I do remember ordering a large quantity (with -100 at the end of the part number). I don't see that anymore?

The prototypes of these cars will have the 36" diameter wheels.  There may be some value to using the 33" wheels for ride height or coupler height, but they wouldn't be 100% prototypical.  I would suggest the .145" treads.

You may even find the wheel size stenciled on the bottom half of the end of the car.  The prototypes of most any car type typically have specifications for wheels, brake gear, draft gear, and spring groups stenciled on their ends.  Hopefully, if it's included on the model it is accurately done.
