I have aquired a Lionel 364 Lumber Loader but it didn't come with the logs. In order to get the loader to operate well, the diameter and length seem to be quite specific. Does anyone have the exact dimensions of the logs?

HI David,
the Lionel "log pack" on Amazon says the dimensions are 5 x 0.5 x 0.5 inches'
The postwar ones I use measure 4-5/8 inches long by 3/8 inches width

Hello, David...
4.6 (4 5/8) inches long and 0.41 (7/16) inches in diameter according to a listing on (e)bay. Search for Lionel part #364-64.

Thanks for both replies!
I got a loader and recently got it running. The logs that came with it do not appear to be original. They are about the right length but are 1/2" diameter and they jam under the "marker light" bracket. I have some original stained logs from another lumber car. These are smaller in diameter (7/16") and 4 - 5/8" long.
I always wanted to make wooden cigars and fake cigarettes, and feed the cigars into the mill and have cigarettes come out the other end. I have no idea why, since I don't smoke. Just seemed like a good idea at one time. Pray continue, boys.
