Thank you for the second opinions gentlemen. I have ordered a new R4LC08 board from ERR. After emailing Ken there, he assured me that the newer R4LC board is a direct plug and play replacement for my current board.

Ken is correct, the R4LC-08 should drop right in.

Thanks again everyone for all of the help.

I received the new R4LC-08 radio board yesterday that I ordered from ERR. Installed it in the locomotive, programmed it and everything is once again working great, including the reverse light on the tender.
