I certainly plan to! I had actually been eyeing it on Legacy Station's website for several months. Every now and then I'd go on there and say "Is that S2 still there? Hmmm...yes it is...."
I knew I wanted it...I just had to wait for the right moment. And it stuck around, so I suppose it was ment to be! haha!
Stirling,
In my case, I was keeping an eye out for a scale S2 for my Pennsy Fleet. I saw this one on the forum. I didn't have any pilot engines and wasn't looking for any but I loved how it looked. The price was right so I bought it. After some initial problems with the engine and the seller, everything runs smoothly now and I'm very happy with the purchase. Don't worry, buying from a reputable dealer, you will not have the problems that I had.
I shouldn't, no. When we first took the engine out of the box it was a bit stiff trying to move the first time, but I think that was most likely because it had been in the box for a long time (never been opened).
Brian, owner of Legacy station, is a great guy, I've bought from him several times in recent years so I'm not worried. And I know if, God forbid anything does go wrong, he'll be there for support. He helped me out alot when my Vision Line GG-1 had problems when I first got it.
Hate it that you had to deal with a poor seller with this unit.
As for the engine itself. that's really why I got it too. Good price and beautiful model of my favorite PRR steamer. As I said, my first O Gauge engine was a 2020 so the S2 has a special place in my heart. I had an MTH Railking PS1 version of it, but I sold it back in the fall last year.
