I recently purchased a Lionel 6-18009 Mohawk in excellent condition. I've been doing some service work to the engine, so I have the boiler shell off, the steam chest and pilot off, as well as the smoke unit. Last night a tiny rubber o-ring dropped off of the loco onto the towel I had it resting on. I don't know where it's supposed to go, and I can't find any parts diagrams online. Can anyone tell me where this o-ring is supposed to go?

Yes, that is the engine - Thanks Marty!

I didn't see an O Ring but if I had to guess maybe a boiler/smoke unit gasket?
After carefully looking at the parts diagrams, I don't see an o-ring either. It's really small in diameter. I'll try to post a photo of it tonight.

No, it just killed large screen video, little tiny video is alive and well.

The cellphone killed Horizontal Video.

No it really did kill it...
I have this engine and have had it apart many times. There is no o-ring. Someone must have added it for reasons unknown.
Thanks Rod. Since I didn't see it anywhere in the parts diagrams, and since you said yours doesn't have one, I'm not going to pursue this any further. Thanks to all who replied.
