Anyone have a video of this car in action ?

I found this on YouTube. Not a reading but still works the same.
Is that a "jumping" hobo car, Jim?
Couldn't find the one Dan asks about on the Lionel site, but I believe the "jumping" hobo cars are a boxcar where the hobo is hanging out of the side of the boxcar, and when he comes across the trackside activator, he springs inside and the door closes. (I could be mistaken about the door closing part)
Examples: (edit: examples of the jumping cars, not videos of same)

Thats not the video of it. If you study the pictures the hobo just into the car via the pointed ramp.. In the links you posted you can look at the manual an it shows you more or less how it works.
The reason, I posted the video I did, was because back in the 80's Lionel produce this accessory using a Reading box car. However, as you have stated I am probably wrong.

I don't know about the jumping hobo, but I believe what is shown in this YouTube is called the Lionel Cop & Hobo car. I have 2 of them and it is a big hit with kids.
