Hello, Does anyone know if the Lionel #6-81222 Penn Central E-8 Diesels advertised in the 2014 Signature Edition Lionel Catalog are going to be produced in the dark Brunswick Green as shown in the Catalog on pages 44-45  or in the more traditional Penn Central color of "Black" with the white PC "worm" Logo..?  I have heard conflicting stories on this..?  It would seem that "Black" would be the color of choice (my choice) since there are several versions of Lionel and MTH PRR E-8's already out there in Brunswick Green.  Any info would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I think it was Ryan Kunkle who said there would be a little Brunswick green in it but it would look mostly black.

I saw many of the PC E8's and it was very hard to tell if they had any green in them but up close and on a sunny day you could see it. Of course with the PC you had to get by the dust and dirt, never did see one clean.

Hello to all...I'm sorry....I didn't know this PC color controversy had been so thoroughly discussed and debated previously in the Forum back in March. RickO  has generously provided the link back to the March Thread and after reading through all of the previous Postings it's apparent from Ryan Kunkle of Lionel that the "yet-to-be" released Penn Central E-8 Diesels will be decorated in the same color body paint as the Lionel Penn Central NS Heritage SD70ACe Diesels, which "appear" Black but do have a very slight tinge of green, apparent only under the most exact lighting conditions. I apologize for bringing up an already debated and resolved issue. I "missed" it the first time around.

Just to throw a little grease on the fire...I did receive a response today from "Meghan", the Lead Cust. Service Rep. @ Talk To Us @ Lionel. Her exact reply was: "More than likely the Item will be painted the dark Brunswick Green as depicted in the Catalog. Until we receive a sample of the Product we cannot be sure."  Just wanted to pass that along....Hopefully the thread from Lionel's Ryan Kunkle posted in March is a more accurate statement. I said I would post any reply from Lionel if I heard back from them, and I have done so. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
