I think I know the answer but I thought I'd run it by you guys first to see what you think. I was running my UP consolidation yesterday and the main smoke unit stopped smoking. I could hear that the fan was not spinning. The first thing I tried was to reprogram, no change. I then check the fan with a 9 volt battery, it works. I next tested the resistance between the fan the smoke PCB, it was correct. After that I tested the wires from the smoke PCB to the RCMC, all good there. I then switch the whistle smoke and the stack smoke wires and the stack smoked work as if it was the whistle and the whistle didn't work as if it was the stack. I am getting a chuff noise when the engine is running. All I can figure is that there is something wrong with the RCMC, before I order a replacement board, is there anything else you guys can think of that I should test?

Davety, you said " I then switch the whistle smoke and the stack smoke wires and the stack smoked work as if it was the whistle and the whistledidn't work as if it was the stack."

That would mean to me that the whistle unit is bad. Not the RCMC .

I can see where that statement might be a bit confusing, let me clarify. The whistle unit works fine when it's plugged into the whistle port on the RCMC. The stack works when it's plugged into the whistle port on the RCMC. Neither work when plugged into the stack port on the RCMC.
