How does the remake of Lionel's 97 coal elevator differ from the original ?

Only real difference being the DC can motor, modern circuit board, and the base and bin being made of a slightly lighterweight plastic.
This is definitely one of the nicer prewar reissues Lionel has done in the modern era. It even kept the solenoid to open the chute.

Dave, thank you. Just as you were probably typing your response, I was trying a back door approach on Lionel's site and found it. They don't make it easy.
