I was recently watching a youtube video on the Amtrak Acela. I was wondering, given past controversy with this set, of those that purchased the Lionel Acela, how many are running them on a regular basis, how many have been relagated to display shelf status, and how many have been boxed up and put away or sold due to disappointment and/or frustration? Which Acela set are you referring to? The original set, or the Legacy version? The Legacy version eliminated most of the major shortcomings of the original set and is much more reliable.

I have two of the 2021 legacy sets (standard and concept) and 1 of the TMCC sets. I absolutlely Love them ALL. Each set has it own strengths/weaknesses but they all are a PITA to assemble on the layout to run but once running they are great.
I have no complaints and will never seprate with them. A stunning set!
I have the original set , and was lucky to be able to replace the zinc rot with new trucks and have not had a problem with any of features. I lucked out .

The original set is terrific, many of the “problems” came from not reading the directions……
