If not you should really have something like that, cause that be cool for other people to see what train that person has decided to take to the convention.

Not officially, but our members frequently bring their trains to run on the LCCA/Lionel FasTrack Modular layout.

Great! I work on the transportation report for the LCCA, save my money to attend and the next thing.... oral and nasal surgery! So I am enjoying the convention via the web, text messages and here. Timing has NEVER been one of my strong points! Ask my wife!  Oh well, on the positive side I can breath and there is always next year!

I hope all enjoy the convention and wish all a safe return trip. And I hope the info I worked on was helpful.

Team Lionel hosted the "Lionel Seminar" on Friday July 24 at the Double Tree Hotel during the LCCA's 45 th Annual Convention in Danvers MA.  Lionel CEO Howard Hitchcock announced the "Honorary Lionel President For a Day" contest .    You must be a LCCA member to participate.  Stay tuned for future announcements and details.  Thank you Howard and the entire Lionel Team for hosting this seminar.  Our members found it to be very informative  and entertaining.

The LCCA's 45th Annual Convention in Danvers MA concluded last night with a Saturday evening banquet.  The evening started with the LCCA Junior Members and our Charter Members leading the crowd in saying our Pledge of Allegiance.  Lionel President Howard Hitchcock presented LCCA President Dennis DeVito with some bling, a golden L ( Lionel not Loser)   The gauntlet and challenge has been thrown for another friendly competition between Lionel's Mike Reagan and the LCCA at  next year's LCCA convention to be held in the airport Hilton Hotel in Kansas City MO July 24-30, 2016.

Hope to see you there.

Here is some of the limited edition products available to LCCA members during our 45th Annual Convention held this past week.  Lionel gifted a "LCCA 45th Anniversary"  watch to each and every conventioneer.  Every registered conventioneer that stayed at the Danvers Double Tree Hotel received their own trolley as a gift.  Other gifts include LCCA special pins.  The LCCA Switching Tracks Traveling boxcar made appearances throughout the convention.  Everyone who attended the Saturday evening banquet received their LCCA Made in Americ Billboard frame and special meal insert. Members had a chance to purchase the LCCA on-site car, a flat bed with two trailers, one commemorating Lionel's 115 year anniversary and the other commemorating LCCA's 45th Anniversary.  We also offered a special Conway Scenic RR boxcar.  This train excursion was one of our tour train rides.

The Boston pin was given in every LCCA Convention registration package. The 45 year Special event pins were given to people who attended our Special events in Danvers.  Additional pins were available for purchase in the LCCA store.

Our sincere thanks go out to all of our LCCA members and their families who attended and supported our 45th Annual LCCA Convention in Danvers MA last week.  We really had a great, safe and most of all, a fun week.   Without your support, we would have not have had such a successful convention.  It is impossible to list by name all of the club volunteers who worked long and hard to make this event so much fun, but thanks must go to convention managers Bob Carter, Jerry Calkins and volunteer coordinator Sal Gambino.  We can not thank everyone enough who pitched in and helped, but THANK You!  We were also successful with introducing the LCCA and Lionel trains to thousands of guests in the Boston area.   Thanks for stopping bye the Double Tree Hotel in Danvers and visiting with us.

There would not be a LCCA if it were not for Lionel.  Team Lionel came out in full force, brought their hands-on, interactive layouts and displays, spent time talking and listening to our members and hosted a great Lionel Seminar.  Thank you Lionel President Howard Hitchcock and your entire team for your endless support.  Our members really appreciate you gift LCCA 45 Th Anniversary watches.  We very much appreciate our special and close working relationship with Lionel.   The great experience and camaraderie amongst our members is truly the result of what I call the "Magic of Lionel trains.

Additional information and convention recaps will be in future issues of our club publications The Lion Roars, The Lion Cub and Interchange Track.   Please visit www.lionelcollectors.org for more detailed information about the LCCA and our convention.

We hope to see you all in Kansas City Next Summer.

Sincerely,

Al Kolis
