Anyone who says that this tech is worthless has obviously forgotten how a kid plays with their trains.

Imagine laying on the floor next to the FasTrack... ordering the engineer to back down to your consist... playing the dispatcher or the engineer or the fireman.  Now imagine the train actually following your orders!

Now imagine having your friends joining in.

THIS is the best post ever on the topic.

Look at their recent track record of new concepts including LC, LC+ and LC2.0.

Bob, None of this is new. They are rehashing concepts used on RC Cars & Planes from the 80's and licensing Bluetooth as a universal transmitter.

Quite honestly Lion chief remote control trains could have been done 35 years ago, and using Bluetooth as the communication protocol could have been done over 15 years ago with Bluetooth 2.1.

A project I did back in late 80's was installing a cannibalized RC car electronics on a Williams engine with a can motor. Forward & reverse control the direction and the left steer operated the horn. Not that hard, RC controlled engine circa 1988 about 25 years before Lionchief.
