The Lionel C&O George Washington Passenger Cars finally arrived. Not bad for the most part minus some minor paint issues.

I have the late 2000s run. Looks like the colors look good and like the change to clear vs the green tent in the last run.
Those are really nice Sean. Congrats.

Very nice video review by Sean.
I watched your video and compared them to the earlier run. The molds are the same, even down to the green and blue seats. But the earlier run had a deeper blue and green for the seats and look less bright. The green tinted windows on the older ones may contribute to the difference.
these are actually old K-Line molds with improved interiors and trucks. K-Line shipped them with the diaphragms separate. I am experienced with installing and removing them over the years. A positive is the diaphragms fit the old K-Line cars that suffered from early deterioration.
Very fair review, Sean.
I do agree about the frustration about Lionel's rather cheap packaging they've been using on the passenger cars for awhile, especially at the prices they're asking. I don't mind so much the price increase on their premium locomotives because that's expected, but the price hikes in the passenger cars every year when not much changes with them feature-wise are very annoying. If Lionel made all new heavyweight tooling to be a bit more specific, then I might consider it justified, but I think this is the same kind of tooling they've been using since 1996 or so. Please correct me if wrong.
Nevertheless, as a C&O fan, they still make a very beautiful set. I may come back to those since I do have one of the F-19's on order.
