I have a line out chief Mikado and misplaced the remote and instructions. I am also starting to run cab 1l and would like to know if I can program this engine to run on my cab1 L. Please advise if anyone could supply me with a set of instructions I would appreciate it.

Lionchief engines cannot be run with Cab1 or Legacy.
You'll have to call Lionel to get a replacement Lionchief remote. Have the product number ready. You can get new instructions online but you need to know the product number.

If this is LionChief Plus, which I think all the Mikados are, you can also switch it to transformer control while you wait for a new remote to arrive... if you have a conventional transformer and not just a LC power pack.
