Found this a few years ago while at an estate sale. Had my grandfather install a push button for controlling the train sounds so it would not go off every hour. Forgot I had this found it under my workbench the other day. The clock still works and I'm going to hang it above my workbench later this week.

Hmmm...I didn't know they came with a second hand. Mine never had one.

Mike,
Don't feel bad, mine doesn't have a second hand either. I checked the box and the
picture doesn't show a second hand on the clock. However I noticed that everytime
the clock ticked, the center stud moved a little. My guess is, that if you could find
a second hand with the correct size hole, you could also have a second hand on your clock too.
Seems to keep good time.

Pleas, I'm curious to know, when was this beautiful clock made?
Ralph
They were made in 2000, one of the items to celebrate 100 years
Mine has been ticking away for the last 14 years without trouble (knock on wood)
For those who don't have, but want a second hand, check out Klockit.com. They have tons of stuff, and probably have the second hand you all need.
Update: There are lots of these available on the 'Bay, prices all over the map, with and without second hands.
The sounds will not activate if there is no light in the room also.
