I have perused Lionel's parts diagrams and am a bit confused as to what I would need to add, for example, the conventional classic F3 horn and bell to another locomotive. Same question for the whistle/bell. Has anyone accomplished this project and have the part numbers that would be required? Thanks in advance.

Beside the board and speaker you would need the wire harness to connect and a mounting bracket. Which model are you talking about, early units had a basic board and speaker wired into the AC input wires. G
I would like to do the same thing. Have not looked in a while at the Lionel parts lists, but they did not seem to want to share the wiring harnesses so I looked at other alternatives. Someone should make a whistle easy to install like MRC does the diesel horn.
When I put a CC Berkshire sound board in my Williams Berk I just soldered the 4 wires to the board. Two for Pickup roller and ground and two for the speaker. Connectors optional.

Sorry if I was not clear. I would be interested in "importing" the conventional classics black bonnet F3 horn and bell into an older Williams F3.
