I need to share a review of the Lionel scale sized cylindrical hopper.
I did a 2 rail conversion yesterday and I think it turned out pretty good.
On a grading scale, I'll give Lionel an A- .
Cons: 1.plastic feels like balsawood instead of hard/solid plastic IMHO.
2. Weight is too lite. The floor should be metal.
Pros: 1. Details are great and prototypical. Ladders are separately applied. Roof hatches open and brake wheel has a real chain attached.
2. Trucks have real operating Springs and turning roller bearings.
Question; Did Norfolk Southern ever have a prototype of this paint scheme?
