Lionel "Digital ready" engines with LionTec reverse circuits

Command Ready/Digital Ready products were upgradeable using the TRAINMASTER COMMAND BASIC UPGRADE KIT SKU: 6-22960.

This model doesn't have the modular motherboard that allows you to use those boards.  This is the reverse unit they show.

Thanks for the replies. gunrunnerjohn is correct the upgrade kit will not work with my engine. After reading the info in the first link bmoram4 provided, I fount the following info:

"This upgrade kit is designed for use only on locomotives that are designated “Command Ready” in catalogs since 1998; other locomotives, including those previously designated “Digital Ready”, will require additional electronic modifications."

My engine indicates it is "Digital Ready" which means this upgrade kit will not work. The question is what "additional electronic modifications" are necessary?

All new electronics, nothing in there will be saved.  If you want TMCC, the way to go is the ERR AC Commander and the ERR RailSounds Commander.

gunrunnerjohn, you just confirmed what I was thinking. ERR is the way to go with this engine. Thanks for the info.
