I was at a swap meet and someone said that Lionel offers parts for a discounted price for a few days, usually in November. It this true? When does the sale occur?

Their sale. Watch for it, Dean will post about it. IIRC, second weekend in november.
Happens every year, not long after York as a rule.
Maybe they'll offer a discount on the heavyweight passenger car trucks that have failed and crumbled due to zinc pest.

Everything that is still available will be half price for one weekend, assuming the policy stays the same.

The parts discount is usually the same weekend as the company warehouse sale. This year that sale begins on November 8th (for LCCA Members).
