I am posting this for a friend. Does anyone know of an e-unit parts supplier from Kentucky? My friend called Lionel for e-unit parts and they told them that there was a gentleman in Kentucky that is making drums, etc. Trying to piece this together for him. He said Lionel didn't offer much more than that. Does this sound familiar to anyone??

According to his web site, Smitty is shutting down his retail operation. His wholesale operation will continue.
Smitty manufactures a number of reproduction parts.
I've known Smitty for many years. The operation in his house is something to see. He has various displays of Lionel postwar parts. He is retired Navy. Smitty makes, or has a hand in making many Lionel repo parts to include metal handrails for engines and tenders, all the operating milk car door parts, and as mentioned, e unit drums, just to name a few.
He used to set up in the Yellow Hall at York and all the local shows around Kentucky.
Also, he's quite a 'character' and fun to be around.
