I don't know the answer but will take a guess that those are ship dates from Lionel.

I checked on a few items that I preordered with what Charles Ro is showing on his website as "arrival dates." Based on the above info and what I see on Ro seems to indicate that these early December ship dates **might** point to an arrival towards the end of December. I say this because Ro’s arrival estimates are usually pretty close to reality.

Of course, the standard disclaimer of “…it gets here when it gets here” applies. I tend to not lose sleep over constantly worrying about when stuff arrives.

Thanks for reformatting the information, Marty.  I think Charlie posted the info the way Lionel must receive it from their Chinese factory.  I guess they figure if nobody can read the darn thing, nobody will know what's actually coming until Lionel Stateside unpacks the containers in NC!!!

We are still planning on air shipping them here. They should make it. We just won't update shipping on them until we have the shipping date confirmed.

Sorry for the format, no I didn’t get it that way and those are the dates expected at Lionel. We are very busy and I haven’t had a second to get here. Most of my time is in the warehouse doing 13hour Days helping out. 

I'm looking forward to more 21" passenger cars. The rerelease of the NYC ones I'm quite eager for to match the separate sale Empire State Express Hudsons on the market.

Max, when in doubt (aside from asking Dave here), it's always worth keeping an eye on Charlie Ro's website for estimated delivery dates.  ETA's on Charlie's website are the date their store is expecting a given SKU.  The 21" CSX cars you're referring to are now showing a new ETA of 3/10/2018 (as of this posting).  So you have a few extra months to save some extra's $$$$ in that piggy bank. 

It never made ANY sense whatsoever for Lionel's Chinese factory to ship ALL 21" passenger cars in one shipment.    That was just bad business on so many fronts -- not the least of which was they were all originally gonna show up in December of all months.    At least now, the delivery of 21" passenger sets is spread over almost 6 months.  Easier on people's wallets too.

J-Daddy, sorry about that type-o.  Fixed it to indicate 2018.  Now it's up to Lionel to actually deliver them in 2018. 

The shipping schedule still has all of the other items that have already shipped.

You are correct, that's the engine sku.

The Lionel Lines S2 didn't ship in the same container as the other ones that have already shipped. We're expecting them to arrive in the next container, which should be any day now. It'll be a couple of more weeks before they get to dealers.

Ahh.... so that explains why dealers haven't been shipping the colorful Prewar Inspired set yet.  I figured something was up, and Lionel was waiting for part (or all) of the set to come in.
