Anyone know the part number for the fix it flywheel and the ring magnet for the odyssey lurch repair.

Also, what is the designation on the new Dc motor driver board that will correct the issue (firmware version) so, I can check my spare boards.

PLus, a part number for the dc mother driver with the correct firmware.

Yes’m ERR M is a better option. As, I’ve updated a few of my own engines. But, for reference would like to ascertain the above.

Well, the flywheel and magnet ring are not for the lurch, they're just to fix a shattered flywheel magnet, performance will be the same.

The Flywheel is 620-8523-102 and the magnet ring is 610-8080-128.

You will need a wheel puller to remove the old flywheel, do NOT pound on the motor shaft.  I watched two motors get wrecked by trying to do it that way.  Fortunately, I was only a spectator and my contribution was to find them a new motor.

DCDS boards are meant for specific motors (note DCDR are non cruise).  Mabuchi or Pittman and maybe a few other oddballs. Its not a one size fits all. Not sure how you can tell when the lurch was improved but if I was looking for one of these I would look at parts for engines made around 2007, towards the end of Odyssey.

That said, a DCDS board will cost more than an ERR Cruise M and even the best ones won't perform as well.

Yes, my timco puller should work

Yep, stand corrected on the designation DCDS. Yes, I know it different for speed control. But, grabbed that part name out of my hat. Anyway,  If you saw the number of Lionel pcb’s, circuit boards, motor drivers sound boards and power supply boards etc. Plus, multiple other boards I assumed for a couple of hundred dollars you would flip. Then earlier this year.. another batch... Tons of stuff pre-rcmc I’m floating in spare parts...

Wait until you spend several hours putting one into an engine upgrade, especially one that has to be completely disassembled to install.  AND It does not work. AND you installed several of those parts you now have to figure out which one isn't working!

I managed a hobby shop for a while when I first got started.  You know how many times a bad part got put back in a drawer over the years depending on what was going on, especially like the holiday.  Any parts manager in any field can tell you horror stories.  Especially older depression era folks.  Nothing ever got thrown away, including junk.

I am sure you got a good deal and good parts, but do not be surprised when some do not work, or have a feature that does not work.  G
