i have one of these engines. The crew talk and horn are plenty loud but the actual engine sounds are not. Is there any way to make the engine sounds louder?

Press the horn one time and follow that by pushing number 1 on the keypad.
That didn't do anything. Is there anything else I can do?
Try aux 1-volume up, aux 1- volume up, aux 1-volume up.....
This raises the background sounds i.e. diesel engine rumble or steam chuff.
Aux1 must be pressed before each volume up.
Fyi. Pressing volume up,up,up raises the overall sounds which includes the whistle and crewtalk.
If you have a Legacy Controller you should just have to press keypad 1 once or more times to raise volume. If that doesn't work then adjust the volume potentiometer under the roof.
Aux 1-volume up is what I needed. I was able to raise it one step and that helped. Thanks
You can do that step several times to raise the volume to it's limit.
Ok. I did it a few times and it only increases one step so it must be at the limit now. I wish it went a little louder but it's better than it was before.
Hmm... I never wanted any more volume for my engine sounds on my VL Genset, maybe you just like the engines loud.
Tanner, sorry but I misdirected you on volume potentiometer. It is in the engineer flip down side compartment, not under the roof on these Gensets.
It's just that the crew talk and horn seem a louder than the engine sounds. It is better since using aux 1 and volume up. It's fine though.
Steims, no worries. I knew what you meant.
Well, the horn is probably louder than the engine sounds for the prototype. Remember, these are each puny 700HP engines. As for the crew, they should stop shouting.
