Lionel relocation to Concord, NC made it into the Charlotte Business Journal this week.
A lot of the information we train fans already knew about so this was more for the general public to know.

Nice. Now they need a showroom layout again!
Thanks Sean!
The article mentioned Va.:
Some products are shipped to Lionel operations in Virginia for final assembly and painting.
Hey, maybe I can get a job, where are they doing this???
Excellent!
Peter
Isn't it odd.....Lionel...King of O scale 3 rail now headquartered in an area with very few hobby shops!! Salisbury is the nearest with any 3 rail.....cool news anyway.
Thank you for the link Sean!
There may be more to this than just noving to a NASCAR area with Right to Work Laws. It might be Lionel is getting ready for the opening of the ne wide locks on the Panama Canal, which will allow container ships to move product to the East Coast, even in the southern states, and bypass congested ports.
Now if L is into NASCAR models, why don't we see more ads for them in the model train publications. There are people who collect ANYTHING connected with the Lionel name on it!
Thanks for the post of this article Sean. Another example of the ongoing favorable publicity for our hobby we are experiencing lately.
Thanks Sean!

This undoubtedly means to the MTH operation in VA. which still owns the Lionel Tinplate brand and does all its development, manufacture, assembly and sales of that line.
