I said back in January that my bet was that many people would pass on these green E Units due to a fear that the color would be "off". I'm glad I gambled on them, because Lionel hit these ones out of the park! My only gripe is that these were done by the NYC and not PRR, but hey, we can't have it all!

I'm running these with the Southwestern Limited cars from a few catalogs ago.

Real nice video. Just wish lionel had offered a passenger set with those colors. I believe that diesel is in a NJ rail museum which had an open house rained out this weekend. Seeing the real thing would be a treat. I've never used an airbrush but I am tempted to repaint a silver set of cars with a center stripe to match.

Just finished striping some silver cars in Bluebonnet blue and yellow stripes with a rattle-can to match my new engine. Krylon makes spray paint in 12 different shades of green, a few of which look like dead-on matches for this jade engine. A single green stripe should be no problem.
