the engine looks great. However, the box was oddly damp and the inner components also damp. Small metal parts on the engine had rusted including the staples on the owners manual. This is a serious problem as it hasn't rained here. I think it got wet on its way from overseas. The outer master carton was dry and the double box shipper was dry as well. These QC issues are definitly starting to worry me. However the engine is nice...but due to rusting I will seek a replacement.

It sounds like the engine and tender got wet before packing in the outer master carton box and shipper box before it was shipped.
I believe it would have motor and drive train and electronics damage as well. I HOPE you can get a replacement or a full refund.

I'm sure mine was the only one that was damp either. Though my dealer is great and will replace or exchange for one of the other Turbine's from a different batch. I bet it got wet in the intermodal container at some point.
