Lionel LCRU 2 railsounds compatability | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have been working on some custom tmcc features and was wondering for the sake of the locomotive and project weather the older LCRU2 could work with newer rail sounds 4. I've seen a person do a similar thing, but instead used rail sounds 5. Would reprogramming it to a newer engine status work and allow it to communicate?

If it works with RS5, I can't imagine why it wouldn't work with RS4.
