Everyone knows that the whistle in this otherwise-great loco is wrong. Are there correct sound boards available? Or must we wait 'till UP finishes their rebuild and Lionel sends their sound engineers out west to record it??

The Vision Line whistle is correct. As is the 4014 in American Flyer.

I don't think that a "sound board change-out" can be done on Legacy equipped models. Of course, Lionel does have the correct "UP whistle", as they used it in the Legacy UP FEF-3 4-8-4 models of #844, so that should work just fine in any model of the UP "Big Three" steam locomotives, i.e. 4-8-4s, 4-6-6-4s and 4-8-8-4s. They all carried the same Manning-Maxwell & Moore deep tone whistles.
