I assume there are four screws holding the H10 Boiler to the frame. I found the two screws in the rear to remove, however not sure about the front. Any expertise on removing the Boiler on the H10 to repair the Smoke Unit is appreciated.

There are 2 more screws recessed into the bottom of the steam cylinders. A magnetic screwdriver is helpful.
I'm not sure what you have going on. Mine had a noisy main smoke fan. A drop of oil cured it.
Even though packed with the whistle steam and swinging bell goodies, this locomotive is not bad to take apart. There is adequate room for the wiring to avoid pinching it during reassembly.
