UP #1943 just pulled into the station and she is a beauty! Didn't see many videos posted of her yet, so thought I'd share!
Here she is, along with an MTH UP SD50 (dummy unit) and Lionel's elusive die-cast KCS #4682!

Great sounding engines, I have 3 Legacy SD70-Ace engines. Love them all. The 1943 looks teiffic too. Good luck with it and enjoy.

Thanks for the comments gents! It's a fine locomotive, and the sound of the horn is just fantastic. Lionel was struggling a bit with their diesel horns lately (IMHO of course) - so it's nice to hear something a little bit easier on the ears!

Received my Lionel Spirit of the Union Pacific yesterday, and everything seems a-OK. *fingers crossed*
Bluetooth control is pretty slick, I'm curious to see where this might go in the future.
I did noticed is that cab details are very light. Only crew members. Did prior runs of the SD70ACes not have a dash? I'll have to take my 8438 out of the box to run with 1943 to check.

You probably shouldn’t have to worry about your 1943, Lionel’s troubles seem to mostly be with steam locomotives.
