Just a quick few pics with better ones later. Again, these are outstanding like the NW-2s. All the heft/rugged/look of the classic Lionel PW product line...with a modern powertrain and electronics. Quality is about as perfect as its gets...I can tell Lionel has been working hard on this. No more oddly bent GP trucks. I hope to see the same Lion Chief + treatment to the PW FM Trainmaster, some of the PW Lionel locos (Prairie, Pacific, Berkshire, Baby Hudson, 0-4-0) with the PW tooling rather than the odd looking China tooled traditional locos. Maybe a 671 Turbine. Also the Lion Chief + value proposition lends itself to many of the 1990's diesels that were made off the PW footprint...or MPC tweaked footprint. Like the Dash 8's and 9's. Or those great looking MPC SD's The tooling is around for those.

Looks like another good looking LC+ product. Cant wait to see some more when you get her running.
Hi Mike - Looks like two more fine LionChief Plus loco, taking to the rails.
Suggestion - To help keep all this fine information in one location, please change the forum, to
LIONEL LION CHIEF AND OTHER R/C SYSTEMS
Thanks Gary &

My MPC New Haven rectifier was one of my favorites back in the day:
Although my interest in O gauge is minimal nowadays, nice to see the NH re-released.
A note: Being that Mike is talking about the locomotives and not specific functions/issues of the LionChief+, the 3-rail forum is the appropriate one. IMHO.

Just what I've been waiting for. Somebody that picked up the LC+ E-33s! I was going to preorder one of these (likely the Virginian livery) but thought I'd wait for some reviews. Thanks for the pictures.
And glad to hear the comparison in quality with the NW-2's. I've got several of the LC+ offerings but really like the switchers the best. Great little runners.
Looks like another winner from Lionel!
